The Everyday Entrepreneur with Jaime Foley: 3 Easy Ideas to Create a Productive Home Workspace

Working from home - once a coveted luxury for those that work in offices every day. Now it’s an absolute requirement and you may be finding all luxury to be lost.

Perhaps you’re actually starting to mis things about the office that you just aren’t able to recreate at home. Conference rooms, the ability to walk to your colleagues’s desk to ask a quick question, and perhaps if you’re lucky, a thoughtfully designed office that helps encourage creativity.

Truth be told, that last sentence feels like a stretch. I don’t believe I’ve personally ever worked in a corporate office space that has encouraged my creativity. Really.

Maybe your workspace has evolved to something like this: sitting shoulder to shoulder with your spouse. Perhaps your workspace is now the kitchen table. Maybe your kids are running around with no regard for Zoom meetings or conference calls.

Given you’re still working in less-than-ideal working conditions, why NOT create a space that inspires you to do your best work? You have more flexibility on your workspace than you may think. It’s your home after all. You are in the driver’s seat and can create a beautiful space even with limited resources.

If you’ve got room to improve your workspace, this very special version of The Everyday Entrepreneur is for you! This week I’m interviewing Jaime Foley, interior designer and founder of Jaime Foley Design.

Here’s what you must know about Jaime. Jaime is based in the Minneapolis area and her specialty is to curate spaces to feel refined and effortless.  She’s always appreciated a great dinner party, or well placed piece of furniture.  After owning and renovating two homes, she realized her true passion, and made the decision to go back to school for Interior Design.  As her family grew, and their needs changed, she began to recognize the importance of form and function in the home.

She created Jaime Foley Design with the intention to help others navigate the way to a home that not only looks great, but feels great too!

And did I mention she’s a Consultant Code alum?! I’m one proud Business Coach over here.
